Autobiography
My name is Johanna Margaret Cerna Sagredo, I was born in Concepción, Chile in 1972, to a family of 11 siblings and I am the youngest. My parents Guillermina Sagredo and Luis Mario Cerna are hard-working and very loving people with their children. I am currently married to Adolfo Quintana Giannoni of Peruvian – Swiss nationality, and I have two twin daughters: Karen and Natalia.
From a very young age I have felt the desire to help and give love to those around me, for that reason I began to study some things that were related to it, one of them was law, although my greatest passion was dance. From a very young age I felt that there was something else that I should do and for which I had talent but could not find the place for myself. I stopped studying law and focused on dance, becoming a teacher and formed my own dance academy … in those moments I came to realize that the delivery of energy was a lot and that I needed to help my students so that they did not they will wear out energetically. So I started studying and specializing in massage. That was the beginning of this great step, as a teacher I took REIKI courses, and my life changed completely. I began to have patients who little by little led me to realize that this was my path. And that it had to grow even more.
During a stage of my life I suffered a very great depression where my spine was affected in a very drastic way, becoming paralyzed without being able to walk, and thank God I had the support of my husband who with all his love and support I help to overcome this difficult stage. Again I realized that I had to do something for those around me who were in the same situation as mine and I decided to specialize in massage for the treatment of pain.
During that time I looked for teachers who could help me learn new techniques and treatments, but I could not find them in my country. So I started looking abroad, and I found Italian teachers, one of the most important for me has been Francesco Ciaccia. Thanks to them I have learned many techniques and treatments that help me in my passion of working with patients who have trauma, pain and chronic diseases. Every day I continue in the search and learning of new techniques that allow me to help these people to regain their life or ultimately to live a more relieved and happy life.
Currently I work together with one of my daughters who is a Kinesiologist and together with my husband, with whom we have formed the Kimec Institute school, which specializes in teaching specific treatments for pain and for specific pathologies such as: lumbar pain, neck pain, back pain , lumbar hernias, osteoarthritis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, immediate pain relief and other specific treatments.
I have been blessed to be able to train students worldwide and to this day we continue to work creating new techniques that I know will help many people improve and regain their quality of life. I love sharing my knowledge with those who need it and I feel that I grow every day doing it.
I am currently the representative of the Chilean and United States chapters in the World Federation of Massage, and Judge of the Latin American Massage Championship.
I am grateful for each of the teachers I have had in my life and I know that I will have many more, I also appreciate being able to learn from my students and from those around me.
I want to thank you for this wonderful opportunity that you have given me to let me participate in this group of great specialists. I am sure that I will not disappoint you and I will do my best to leave you very high.
