During the meeting, a significant finding emerged: in many countries, teachers and directors of vocational training institutions are selected without a specific training path, based solely on their experience as therapists or even recruiting recent graduates with no experience.
ODM International strongly reiterated that:
Therapists and adult educators are two distinct professions, with different backgrounds and skills.
Adult educators require specific, certified, and recognized training, based on didactic, organizational, and pedagogical skills.
